Scotland’s first National Daffodil Festival (debut) 2017 is to be held at the Backhouse Rossie Estate in Fife. Celebrity George Anderson MBE and Beechgrove Garden Presenter will open the Festival on the 15th April.
Easter Saturday 15th April opens 10 am with Scotland's Garden Scheme Charity afternoon - 2pm to 5pm
Easter Sunday 16th April - 10am to 4pm
Home to the newly awarded National Collection for Narcissus Backhouse cultivars, it is a perfect time of year to share the beauty, charm and surprising variety of daffodils.

Come and meet Celebrity Daffodil Expert George Anderson MBE and Beechgrove Garden Presenter who will open and judge the daffodil show on the 15th April.

A fun daffodil adventure awaits - ‘Bring and Show’ event (to enter bring the best newly opened daffodil flowers from your garden, on a natural length stem and as blemish-free as possible) separate children’s Class.
Enjoy the Family Easter Activities, Woodland Egg Hunt (a chocolate egg for every participant £1 entry for ages 0-16 years), woodland daffodil walk, putting on the lawn, secret grotto and grass labyrinth.
Retail therapy is catered for by a range of local Stall Holders and some of our own Backhouse branded products.
The Backhouse Café is conveniently situated for a light lunch, barista coffee, tea and cake or a glass of our home grown, cold pressed apple juice, see the apple trees!
The Backhouse Nursery sales bench will hold pots of Narcissus and David Austin roses for sale and more for you to peruse….
